We’re six months into 2018 and what an incredible first six months it has been. From sensational gaming releases like Dragon Ball FighterZ to Sea of Thieves, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and State of Decay 2 to surprising game announcements like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Battlefield V and most recently, Fallout 76.
The second half of the year looks entirely promising with upcoming releases like Red Dead Redemption 2, Soulcalibur VI, Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Kingdom Hearts III, all we can say is “let the good times roll”!
And as we anticipate to learn more on those upcoming releases, our favourite developers, publishers, and software brands are hard at work developing their showcases for E3 which is less than two weeks away. But with the dawning of a new month comes new releases as we turn our attention to the titles dropping this month:
ONRUSH (Xbox One, PC)
XBPSA’s Greg Cawood delved into Codemasters’ (Dirt, F1, TOCA Race Driver, Colin McRae) gravity-defying racing game, ONRUSH last month as the British developers are ready to shine the green light on their latest project.

Following last month’s successful beta sessions, the game is ready to explode to consoles this month. ONRUSH should vaguely remind players of another familiar racing title, Driveclub, as the studios behind the game, Evolution Studios, had closed down and the staff were acquired by Codemasters.
According to the game director Paul Rustchynsky:
“The team grew up playing iconic, arcade racing games so it is great to have the opportunity to re-imagine those experiences on today’s consoles and bring something fresh to the market. We believe that it is something that gamers are crying out for. The most important factor in the game is that it has to be fun. It is not about tire choices, car setups or even racing lines; it’s about edge-of-your-seat action and taking death defying risks in order to reap the biggest rewards.“
Defy the laws of physics in ONRUSH, releasing June 5, 2018 on Xbox One and Windows PC.
Jurassic World Evolution (Xbox One, PC)

The famed Jurassic World series has returned and its bigger, better and more ferocious.
The park building simulator lets players create and manage their own dinosaur-themed park (like Planet Coaster but just with dinosaurs). And speaking of Planet Coaster, Jurassic World Evolution is developed by Frontier Developments, the team behind other amazing simulating titles like Rollercoaster Tycoon and Elite: Dangerous.
Players will receive more control than other construction and management sim titles as players can modify the terrain of the park to include lakes, rock formations, mountains and other natural elements. And the best part of the game is that we receive assistance and guidance from the doc himself, Dr. Ian Malcolm, voiced by the legendary Jeff Goldblum.
Beware of the dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution arriving digitally to Xbox One and PC on June 12, 2018 with the physical release on July 3, 2018 to coincide with the release of the latest Jurassic World installment, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Far Cry 3: Classic Edition (Xbox One, PC)

If you didn’t pre-order Far Cry 5, which you would have received a copy of Far Cry 3: Classic Edition as part of the season pass last month, well the game will become available as a standalone purchase.
Originally released in 2012, players will revisit the Rook Islands as you battle against the terrain and the environment and treacherous enemies as you embark on a rescue mission to save your friends. Beware of these enemies as they will do everything in their power to stop you from rescuing your friends.
This game became synonymous for the game’s main antagonist, Vaas, Far Cry 3 received critical acclaim for the “game’s story, characters, open world exploration, and gameplay” as well as its “unpredictable enemy encounters”.
Return to Rook Islands in Far Cry 3: Classic Edition on June 26, 2018 for Xbox One and Windows PC.
Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy (Xbox One, PC)

Look who’s back!!! Wumba for everyone!!! Source: Twitter/@Activision
Our favourite frenzied platformer icon, Crash Bandicoot, will finally be arriving to the Xbox platform and we couldn’t be any more excited for its release.
The N.Sane Trilogy was first launched last year for PS4 but many players have called on Activision to bring our favourite bandicoot to other platforms. Then early this year, it was announced that the game will be coming to Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch in July but surprised us all when it pushed its release date up by a few weeks.
Now, diehard Crash fans can relive the nostalgia and insane (no pun intended) adventures in three Crash titles: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot Warped, all have been considered some of the best platformers titles released. And with another platforming legend making his way to Xbox One later this year (hey there, Spyro), Crash is finally here for the winter!
Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy crash lands on Xbox One and PC on June 29, 2018.
