Telltale Studios announce delay of The Wolf Among Us 2

Another game joins a long list of titles pushed back to 2019

Fans of Telltale Games’ The Wolf Among Us were left devastated last Friday when the developer announced that its sequel, The Wolf Among Us 2 will be delayed, pushing its release date to 2019.

Announced last year, the game was expected to launch due to massive fan feedback requesting the long-awaited sequel buy due to significant changes happening at Telltale Games, the game was unfortunately scaled back which the studio explained in a short post on their website.

“The Wolf Among Us 2… will now launch in 2019, rather than the latter half of 2018. This delay comes as the result of a few fundamental changes here at Telltale since we first announced the game last summer. Most importantly, we’re committed to exploring new ways to tell our stories. Taking this extra time will allow us not only to focus on quality but also to experiment and iterate in order to craft something truly special. Ultimately our goal is to deliver an experience deserving of the passion you’ve consistently shown for The Wolf Among Us, and these extra months will give us the time we need to do our best work.”

There’s no official release date as of yet, but a crippling blow nonetheless to fans of the episodic interactive fantasy mystery graphic adventure game. We surely do hope that it will be worthwhile experience when the game eventually launches in 2019 but until then, now would be the perfect opportunity to play the first season of the game, available now at the Microsoft Store.
