Microsoft introduced the gift-giving service for Xbox last year on selected Xbox titles and now the service will be expanding to PC titles and other PC digital content.

The feature which, as mentioned earlier, allow players to purchase select Xbox One digital games, DLC’s, Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass subscriptions. Now, PC gaming titles and DLC’s have been included to the service and all Xbox One titles are now available for the service.
The gift giving feature has been a huge hit with the fans as it has made buying gifts for friends and family for their birthdays and the holidays much easier. With the service, there are a few things to remember…
There are no limits on full price purchases however, you can only make two discounted purchases (with a total of 10 discounted purchases) every 14 days. No pre-orders, free products and consumable DLC content like virtual currency for Xbox 360 and Original Xbox titles are allowed. Gift recipients must redeem their gift in the region/country in which the gift was purchased.

Sending digital gifts via the Microsoft Store is simply easy. Here’s how to send a gift to your friend/s and family according to Xbox Wire:
- Head over to the Microsoft Store on Windows 10, on the Xbox One family of devices, or online, navigate to the product that you would like to purchase, select Buy as Gift, and enter the email address of the gift recipient. On Xbox One, you can choose a Gamertag from your list of Xbox Live friends.
- The gift recipient will receive a code for their product along with instructions on how to redeem the code. On Xbox One, gift recipients will receive a system message with a clickable redemption button.
And presto! You have successfully made a gift purchase via the Mucrosoft Store. Xbox is continuously working to make gift purchases easier for the fans as the team are working on improving the feature, add new content and capabilities to have it running efficiently.
