Three generations of Xbox gaming pushes the brand into new era of gaming
When Xbox announced a feature for Xbox One owners to play their favourite Xbox 360 titles on modern consoles was an idea easily dismissed by its competitors. Now years later, Microsoft is relishing in its success as Xbox reached a new milestone sonce the launch of the feature in 2015.
Announced on Wednesday, Microsoft revealed that its players had clocked in over a billion hours playing their favourite backward compatibility titles. With the inclusion of Original Xbox titles this year, the list has grown exponentially by the months having amassed to somewhere close to 500 titles forming part of the backward compatible library.
Xbox announced this week two titles joining the ever-growing library with Saints Row 2 and Dragon Age 2 added.
A massive bonus was the new update which sees Xbox 360 titles now added to players Gamescore leaderboards which was teased by Xbox engineering lead and Corporate VP, Mike Ybarra and later confirmed by Xbox Live’s Larry Hryb on Twitter.
