The long weekend will soon draw to a close on the back of a relatively quiet weekend on the gaming and esports front. But not to worry, there was still plenty of trending stories that dominated social and online media. Here are some of the trending picks of the weekend:
Bungie detailed Destiny 2 expansion, Warmind content
The forthcoming expansion for the sci-fi adventure game, Destiny 2, may be days away but some new details were revealed on the expsnsion that has caught our attention.
The expansion, named after the game’s humanity defending AI, will have some pretty cool content awaiting for Destiny players. Detailed in a blog post on Bungie’s site, the developer will be including a new horde event as well as introducing a new area for Helles Basin. This region will welcome the horde event, Escalation Protocol, where players will face waves of Hive before confronting the arena Boss.
Other changes will see some major changes to weapons, in fact all weapons, from exotic weapons like Sturm/Drang and Graviton Lance to Fighting Lion and Hard Light.

Overwatch Retribution event ends, welcomes new season
The new Overwatch season is upon us, kicking off today as the new season will present new content, new Competitve Play season and plenty more to look forward to.
Staying on Conpetitive Play, the new season will see the addition of Brigitte being added to the season to which some have been unable to play during season 9. This was in fact due to Blizzard having disabled Brigitte in the competitive play queue throughout season 9 due to a new rule as Blizzard want to allow players enough time to adjust to new heroes and maps.
Speaking of maps, the escort map, Rialto will most unlikely be available for season 10 of conpetitve play as the map is currently available for testing on Blizzard’s Public Test Realm (PTR). Although we still have yet to hear when the map will officially launch, we think not will arrive in a subsequent update.
However, this does see the end of the Archives Retribution event which had a fantastic near three week long run. Players were provided an opportunity to relive old missions from the “archives” of the characters which will be sent back to archives reencrypted until next year’s event.
Licencing issue sees GTA IV update removes songs
The latest update for Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto IV sees some significant changes to the game’s tracklist.
A total of songs were removed from the game, which formed part of the update, as a result of expired licenses for some of the songs featured in the game. The game, which celebrated its 10th anniversary, saw some of the game’s radio stations like Vladivostok FM being dealt a massive blow. This also affects the game’s two expansions, The Lost and the Damned (TLAD) and The Ballad of Gay Tony (TBOGT).
