Game Releases for Xbox One & Windows PC: May 2018

The new month is right on our doorstep and is so is the month’s gaming releases that will warm up your Autumn nights, keeping you, your Player 2 and/or your squad entertained as we approach the winter months. Also, there are new Game Pass and Games with Gold titles available from May 1st giving you even more reasons to play games in May.

Here are some top gaming release picks for May:

City of Brass (Xbox One, PC)

Uppercut Games’ daring first-person action adventure, City of Brass, will, at first glance, remind one of the Prince of Persia series, both which are set in the Arabian desert and both have similar weaponry. The only difference is the foes you would face.

Developed by former BioShock developers, players will assume the role of a thief, wielding a blade and a whip to disarm, stun and trap enemies, is positioned in the heart of an Arabian metropolis, fending off mischievous spirits, avoiding deadly traps all to get to a “fabled treasure”.

City of Brass will receive Xbox One X enhancements upon its launch.

Will you survive the onslaught of lethal traps and pits to find the fabled treasure? City of Brass is available from May 4, 2018 on Xbox One and PC.

State of Decay 2 (Xbox One, PC)

The highly anticipated sequel over years in the making gets its awaited release this month.

State of Decay 2 could be the ultimate zombie survival game we so desperately need as players will team up with friends to create a community of survivors with a home base for characters to build on their abilities, manage their inventory, upgrade their weapons and most importantly, survive as a group where every decision counts and the consequences could be severe.

The Ultimate Edition will be available on May 18 with the official launch on May 22 which State of Decay 2 is an Xbox Play Anywhere title and will be available on Xbox Game Pass.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection (Xbox One, PC)

We have covered the announcement in an earlier article, one of Capcom’s leading franchises celebrates 30 years of non-stop hadoukens and shoryukens and many failed attempts of avoiding Akuma’s Shun Goku Satsu.

A collection expanding 12 titles over 30 years, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is the definitive collection for fans of the series. With each title having formed part of our childhood, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will be a worthy addition to one’s current gaming library. The collection will feature an Online Arcade Mode within four Street Fighter titles and a Museum feature which takes a look at the timeline, depicting the evolution of the franchise learning about the characters and their development over the years.

The 12 titles included are: Street Fighter, Street Fighter II, Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter III, Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.
