New Inside Xbox episode highlights PUBG free play weekend, new Xbox One X enhanced titles and more

Last night (or early this morning in South Africa) the second episode of the monthly gaming show, Inside Xbox aired on Facebook, YouTube, Twitch and Mixer on the back of a busy few weeks from GDC 2018 to PAX East.

The brand new episode, which touched on plenty of upcoming news, releases as well as forthcoming updates that we can expect in the next month to come.

One of the biggest talking points was the Original Xbox backward compatibility which will be detailed in a follow-up story layer today but the news did reveal six Xbox 360 titles, which arrived yesterday, will be given a power treatment with Xbox One X enhancements.

The Xbox 360 titles receiving Xbox One X support are:

  • Darksiders
  • Gears of War 2
  • Portal 2
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Sonic Generations
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

The Xbox FanFest is coming to E3 this year as details were revealed during the show. Chris Munson appeared on the show, detailing the breakdown of the FanFest, how to secure tickets and what to expect at the FanFest were revealed. For the full breakdown, read the complete breakdown at Xbox Wire.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ (PUBG) Brendan Greene dropped by the show to discuss the game’s success since its Game Preview launch.

Greene who went on to announce that the game will be a free trial of the game during the Xbox Live Gold’s Free Play Weekends next Thursday, April 19 where the full version of the game plus all game modes will be available to play for free.
