Fight undead pharaohs in upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins expansion

The third expansion for the action-adventure title, Assassin’s Creed Origins, will be arriving next month on all platforms.

Revealed last week, developers Ubisoft outlined the third major expansion, The Curse of the Pharaohs, which will see the protagonist, Bayek, in pursuit of a mysterious artefact in Thebes. Unfortunately for our hero, he runs into more than just an artefact, undead pharaohs, materialising right before his eyes and raiding the town, killing inhabitants along their path of destruction. However, through interactions with the locals, some raiders are responsible for this mysterious reappearance of the pharaohs called The Pharaoh’s Curse. Bayek now has to locate these remnants of the pharaohs to put them back to eternal rest.

Featuring an expansive map filled with mysterious surprises along the way, Curse of the Pharaohs includes cities like Thebes that boasts incredible sightseeing spots and temples while the Valley of the Gods houses the tombs of Egyptian royalty. Exploring the world of the afterlife, Bayek will explore each pharaoh’s afterlife which exists as an individual asteral plane accessing through portals located in their tombs.

Other features detailed is raising Bayek’s level cap to 55, several new abilities have been unlocked and some have been bugged including the Dash Boost which damage boosts get rewarded for perfect dodges and Overpower Fury which heals Bayek and removes any potions or spells while dishing out relentless attacks.

March 13th is the date to remember when the Assassin’s Creed Origins expansion, Curse of the Pharaoh launches on Xbox One and PC.
