Microsoft, Turn 10 announce return of Forza Racing Championship

If you had missed last week’s This Week on Xbox episode, you may have missed the announcement of the return of Forza Racing Championship (ForzaRC).

The Forza Racing Championship, a compelling, high-octane, competitive racing tournament announced by Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios have opened registration for the tournament which kicks off April 2nd. Participants will go head-to-head in Forza Motorsport 7 featuring over 700 cars competing on native 4K resolution on the Xbox One X for a pool prize of over $250 000.

Each driver will compete in ranked events during the seven-week series, earning points and ascending (or desceding) the leaderboard. Full breakdown of leaderboards will be detailed next month.

The complete season will be split into two  series which the first series run from April 2 to May 23 and the second series from July 9 to August 29 with two playoffs runs culminating in the World Championship series in October.

The ForzaRC pre-season invitational is just around the corner which is set to feature the best drivers from around the world but ahead of that, Turn 10 will launch esporting features to Forza Motorsport 7, Specate and Seed the Grid. The features were available in Motorsport 6 which will form part of the Febraury update.

Whether you want to compete amongst the best in the world or spectate from the bleachers, ForzaRC awaits all in April.
