Five co-op titles to feel the love this Valentine’s Day

As much as love should be celebrated every day of the year, rather than just one day, namely Valentine’s Day, it is a day for love and plenty of PDAs but the best way to show off those PDAs is to spend time with your #Player2 the way it should be intended to be spent: playing video games.

So, grab your #Player2 and enjoy this Valentines Day with these co-op titles that will make you feel the love, test your tag team skills and putting your relationship to the test in space or against fearsome foes.

When communication is key: Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime

There’s is something hynotising and kitsch about this galactic shooter from Asteroid Base.

Whether it’s the adorable neon bunnies, the heart-themed missions or just the mesmorising narrative of how the destructive force of Anti-Love wreaked havoc over the galaxy, as an elite force known as LOVERS must rescue kidnapped bunnies, explore galactic mazes and avoid being sucked into a vacuum, communication is key to man battle stations, switching between weapons and bringing love back to the galaxy.

There is a little bit of something for every kind of player in Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime.

And the neon bunnies are awesome!!!

When your love is straight fire: Overcooked

Food is definately the best way to someone’s heart…and so is Overcooked. Source: Twitter/@Polygon

When your love is this hot, well there has to be some cooking involved and Overcooked is a great game to any foodie’s heart.

Well, maybe, there will be an occasion or two when your partner forgets to place a burger patty on the bun or makes a horrendous tomato soup, don’t worry, there will still be that strong, burning love inside your heart…maybe for a steak dinner or burger.

Find your passion for food (I mean, love) in Overcooked (and let’s hope you don’t overcook your love for bae or your console)

When your relationship is all fast and furious: TrackMania Turbo

The frenzied racing title finally made its way to Xbox One in 2015 which is quite the refreshing feel from the top racing franchises like Forza, Need For Speed and Gran Turismo.

TrackMania Turbo is the perfect game to start your Valentine’s Day date as it’s easy to jump into plus bear in mind that it could possibly bring out the competitive side of your beloved so do keep an eye out for those sparks.

But at the end of the day, it’s about making your loved one happy and if they’re enjoying dodging obstacles, steering into deep hairpins or the variety of gameplay environments, then award yourself with a pat on the back and hide Cuphead. You don’t want your relationship to end…

When your love is guns a-blaze: Gears of War: Ultimate Edition

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is probably the best co-op title to play this Valentine’s Day especially since you and your partner are such an awesome tag team against a Berserker.

While every Gears title has the splitscreen co-op mode, the first Gears title defines the third-person shooter and maybe, rediscover why you fell in love in the first place as you work together as a cohesive team.

And besides, there’s nothing more proud that watching your partner nailing those headshot kills and maybe saving you very now and then from enemy clutches that puts a smile on your face, all the time.

It’s all about teamwork and Gears can put that teamwork to the test but if you and your partner prevails, then you know he/she is your #Player2 for life.

Because everything is awesome…

Considered one of the biggest gaming franchises, LEGO teamed up with Warner Bros. Interactive to recapture the essesene and awesomeness from The LEGO Movie in an epic adventure video game.

Play as Regular Builders or Master Builders and team up to construct objects, magnificent creations or original concepts. Bursting with endless entertainment for you and your #Player2, the cheeky qips, hilarious one-liners (guaranteed you don’t use them on your partner) and action-packed stages will keep you and your partner on the tips of your toes and slapping a smile on your face as you play away right through to the next day…
