A new cinematic trailer was revealed on Tuesday as part of the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege event.
The trailer teases much on the narrative for Mission: Outbreak, a limited period zombie mode which the event was announced by Ubisoft last week.
In Mission: Outbreak, a mysterious capsule crashes in a small town in New Mexico. This capsule which contains a foreign organism, the Apex, which poisons the entire town and its surroundings and turning its residents into grotesque monsters.
Ash, a member of the “Six” Operator team working in the Quarantine Zone has been tasked with a daunting mission to make contact with Russian operators for backup in a “Call to Arms” to defeat the monsters and remove the Apex.
The Apex is an enemy force unlike any the Rainbow Six operatives have faced as players will encounter exploding monsters (similar to those in Resident Evil 7) and deformed beasts. Players must reinforce their positions and adapt to the environment as they are armed with an arsenal to take down all five archetypes if the infected inhabitants.
Ubiaoft also detailed a list of operators playable for the Outbreak event:

- Smoke
- Ying
- Buck
- Kapkan
- Ash
- Doc
- Tachanka
- Glaz
- And you, of course
The free co-op event will coexist with the upcoming expansion, Operation Chimera for four weeks from March 6 to April 3rd.
The expansion will promote Year Three for the tactical shooter as Ubisoft teased more details to follow at the “Six Invitational 2018” in Montreal, between February 13 and February 18.
Play smart and tactically and you may just defeat the Outbreak.
