The new year has presented itself with a new opportunity for change and changing is coming. Microsoft unveiled a fresh new wave of system updates for Xbox One consoles on Monday, emphasising on the batch of updates rolled out in October last year.
This latest batch of updates arriving to members of the Insiders’ Alpha Ring first will see a variety of cool features and plenty of new additions as noted in a blog post on Xbox Wire.
Two new widgets have been added to the Guide pop-up menu, the first is the “Next Achievements” widget which players can sort their upcoming achievements unlocks across your Games library. With filtering options available, players can sort Achievements by closest, most common and highest Gamerscore just to mention and easily launch the game to achieve them.

The second widget is the “Mini Games Hub” where players access gaming content from recently played games from this widget without ever opening the main app itself. This widget makes it easy to see what your friends are currently playing, upcoming Achievements and more.
Another feature included in this update is the “Do Not Disturb” online status for those who want to play without any distractions. This online feature, which first debuted on the Xbox 360, will withhold notifications and inform your friends that you’re unavailable for any activity at that moment. This feature is also great for content creators and livestreamers or for a quiet night gaming with your partner.
Microsoft has tweaked additional features including the Community tab making it easy for players to view comments and adding inactive shutdown options to the Power mode and startup menu.

Xbox is also working on fixing bugs and investigating a list of issues have been addressed on the Xbox forums recently.
