
‘Tis the season to be jolly as December is finally here but that doesn’t mean we’re holding back all those precious time in front of the PC or Xbox One. Nah sir, it the perfect time to catch on lost time and the best time to nab some festive savings on games and to pick up some new releases for the month.
Although we’re seeing fewer title launches but plenty of expansions dropping this month plus one massive exclusive launch, it’s the perfect time to revisit some games and to explore new world this December.
Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris (Xbox One, Windows PC)
Bungie’s first expansion for the action shooter, Destiny 2, will arrive this month.
Already kicking off the launch of the expansion in a series of livestreams last month in which the studio detailed the entire campaign for the expansion. Players will search for a warlock, Osiris, whom the Guardians must form an alliance in order to stop an invasion by the Vex from reaching the planet. Bungie also revealed a brand new mode, Raid Lair, which in itself, is an expansion of the Leviathan raid that will be featured in the abovementioned expansion.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Collection (Xbox One)
While fans of the series are entangled in the show’s eighth season, fans of the Telltale series will get to relive the horror and heartbreak with the entire collection, thus far.
The collection offers seasons one to three plus the anthology series, 400 Days and the three-part Michonne mini-series which Telltale have revealed the earlier seasons will get a visual boost.
The Walking Dead: The Telltale Collection will drop December 5.
Fallout 4 VR (Windows PC)
PC gamers will get to relive the journey of survival as Fallout 4 gets a VR treatment.
Announced at Bethesda’s E3 showcase, fans got a first glimpse of the Fallout 4 VR mechanics where only a few differences have been noticed, particularly the Pip-Boy as there are no hands. Bethesda has built a system which works around the sometimes frustrating hand-tracking VR systems which will also be used in Bethesda’s other VR release, DOOM VFR.

Okami HD (Xbox One, Windows PC)
One of the most underrated games of the past decade, Okami is getting the HD treatment.
Clover Studio’s legacy is still evident in this action-adventure that beautifully encapsulates the Japanese folklore as a wolf deity embarks on an adventure to bring light back to a world destroyed by evil. The game also makes use of a visual style similar to sumi-e ink painting.
Restore the world and bring back peace to it as Okami HD paints its way on December 12.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (Xbox One)
One of the most popular games of the year will become the most highly anticipated release as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) will get its exclusive console launch.
Battle royale fans, for months, have enjoyed the chaos and intense battles on PC will now enjoy a similar experience now on Xbox One consoles as the game will join Microsoft’s Xbox Game Preview program.
Be the last man standing as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) arrives exclusively to Xbox One on December 12.
Resident Evil 7: End of Zoe and Not A Hero (Xbox One, Windows PC)
Resident Evil 7’s upcoming expansions will arrive this month alongside the release of the game’s Gold Edition.
The Not A Hero expansion featuring long-standing Resident Evil protagonist Chris Redfield was initially set for a Spring 2017 release, had to be pushed back a few months. Redfield returns to the Baker mansion and faces a new set of monsters and traps as he sets on a search and rescue mission for Lucas Baker.
A mysterious huntsman crosses paths with Zoe Baker in the second expansion, End of Zoe. Rescuing Zoe from the crystalline substance that held her in the final scenes of the standard game, this meeting could ultimately change their fates, either bad or horribly tragic.
Not A Hero will be free for Res7 owners and End of Zoe will be available for Season Pass holders or for separate purchase on December 12.
Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis (Xbox One)
We’ve had Gladiolus and Prompto, now Final Fantasy XV fans will get reacquainted with another of Noctis’ friends, Ignis.
A military tactician and Noctis’ advisor, the storyline focuses on Ignis’ fight on the Altissia streets while Noctis was unconscious after the Trial of Leviathan. Ignis will be equipped with his spelldaggers and his “Total Clarity” ability which allows Ignis to target multiple enemies at once.
A new character, Ravus, will be Ignis’ new comrade as this episode will have multiple endings according to Square Enix.

Star Wars Battlefront II: The Last Jedi Season (Xbox One, Windows PC)
Star Wars fans will be excited to know that the upcoming Star Wars film, The Last Jedi, will continue in Star Wars Battlefront II.
Choose to ally yourselves with the Resistance or the First Order as the decisions you make will have in-game consequences. Players get to delve in various challenges as they accumulate factions rewards. Finn and Captain Phasma will be available for purchase with in-game credits and can win upgrades for their character if your side wins.
Planetary map Crait, Starfighter Assault map D’Qar and Tallie Lintra’s A-wing Hero ship will arrive with this season as well as an upgrade for Poe’s X-wing will be available.
