StarCraft II will become free-to-play on Nov. 14

The iconic real-time strategy title, StarCraft II, will be available for free come November 14 according to its developer, Blizzard Entertainment.

Revealed at its #BlizzCon2017 event this past weekend, StarCraft fans can play the original Wings of Liberty campaign for free and for those who have Wings of Liberty will receive the game’s second expansion, Heart of the Swarm.

Also announced is that every Co-op Commanders will also be availble for free to play up to level 5 ranking as players will gain access to the ranked multiplayer ladder. Players can now compete to be the best in all the multiplayer units for Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void.

This is substantially massive news as it will not only attract new players but keep StarCratft II relevant and compete with other real-time strategy titles like Dota 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offense (CS:GO)
