Only one trending hashtag caught my attention this past weekend, it’s simply impossible to ignore…BlizzCon 2017!!!
Blizzard’s annual convention event had its opening ceremony livestreamed, which following the ceremony, the studio wasted no time in getting down to business.
Considered one of the biggest developments announced from Blizzard surrounds its MOBA title, Overwatch as the studio revealed the next hero coming to Overwatch…
Moira O’Deorain, Talon’s mad scientist, joins a robust roster of healers including Mercy, Lucio and Zenyatta just to mention. She was shunned for her ambitions in genetics which led to her joining #TeamBlackwatch. A space-harlequin looking character, Moira can switch between her short-range biotic healing and the damage beams. She too can drop energy balls that can either heal players within the radius of the deployed energy ball or dish out a serving if damage to enemy players.
Players have been asking for more healers/support players for a while and with four characters already introduced to the excisting roster, it sees like that wasn’t just enough. Players can get an opportunity to try out Moira on Blizzard’s Public Test Realm (PTR) ahead of a full game launch so be sure to stay close to Blizzard on various social media platforms.
Staying with all things Overwatch, Blizzard also revealed a brand new map coming soon to Overwatch.
Announced alongside a plethora of skins, emotes and highlight intros, Blizzard World is Blizzard’s own gaming theme park which starts off as a point capture and switches to payload. This new map pays homage to most (if not, all) Blizzard titles from Hearthstone, Diablo, StarCraft and Heroes of the Storm by creating faux-attractions from each of the Blizzard titles. If you haven’t had a glimpse of Overwatch’s latest attraction, watch the video below:
