Microsoft’s quarterly report revealed the Xbox Game Pass service has helped the software giant’s revenue alongside other Xbox products for the first quarter. This, despite slow sales for Xbox One consoles, helped Microsoft crawl out of a slump for the company.
The quarterly report further reads:
“Xbox software and services revenue grew 21 percent driven by continued momentum in digital distribution and strong game title performance.”
The software giant is preparing for the highly anticipated launch of the Xbox One X on November 7 despite the gaming division revenue has grown 1 percent compared to the same period last year. But while it seems like the focus hasn’t been much on hardware, Xbox has poured its efforts into perfecting its software and services.
Staying with all things related to Xbox Game Pass, there are new titles coming to Game Pass this November.
For R159 per month, subscribers gain access to over 100 Xbox 360, Xbox One and now original Xbox games. Additionally, subscribers can get discounts on game purchases like full games and add-ons.
