A glitch involving emotes which allowed players to hide out of bounds was the reason that Bungie will delay its competitive multiplayer mode, Trials of the Nine.
Players were withdrawn from purchasing the ‘bureaucratic walk’ emote as Bungie discovered that the emote glitching in the Crucible gave players the ability to use the emote to go out of bounds and subsequently, removed the emote. However, the players who have already purchased the emote can still use but according to Bungie community manager Chris “Cozmo” Shannon in a blog post, postponing the Trials event was to assist the team in resolving the issue.
“…we are investigating a fix that we plan to deploy during the first week of November. In the meantime, the next two instances of Trials of the Nine will be postponed.”
The next Trials of the Nine event will happen on November 3, 2017 but in the meantime, Destiny 2’s PC fans can expect a full PC launch on October 24 as full PC requirements and launch month calendar including Nightfall and Raid events were revealed in a blog post on Bungie.net.
