Xbox One X has hidden Master Chief within the console

A ‘Halo’ of a surprise is what awaits Xbox One X owners come November…

So, we all know by now just how powerful the Xbox One X console and since its specs were revealed back at E3 this year, this could be the most powerful gaming console to date. But just when you think Xbox has done it all, well, they did leave out a little nugget to bring it all back home.

A YouTuber had the gusto (and heart) to take a look at the Xbox One X and discovered a tiny detail printed on the circuit board on an Xbox One X.

At 11:10 into the video, the YouTuber revealed that Master Chief, one of Xbox’s most synonymous characters can be found riding a scorpion…

Well played, Xbox…

This tiny detail pays homage to the character that gave Xbox its success (the Halo franchise) and to the Xbox One X’s original codename, Project Scorpio. It’s quite a nid from Xbox, especially considering that the tanks that Master Chief occasionally rides in Halo are known as Scorpions.

But if you really want to view this detailing, you will have to crack open an Xbox One X (which sounds like a bad idea and too much money going to waste), this isn’t Master Cheif’s first appearance on an Xbox console.

According to Eurogamer, Master Chief can be found inside an Xbox One S console as he is etched on the optical disc drive bracket as demonstrated by iFixit last August.

With this detail now public knowledge, will you risk it all and pop open an Xbox One X to view it? Or do you hope that you won’t see it at all? Let us know in the comments section below or follow Xbox Players SA on Facebook and Twitter.
