Star Wars Battlefront II multiplayer beta goes live this week

May the Force be with us all…

The multiplayer beta for the upcoming galactic adventure Star Wars Battlefront II has launched today (October 4) for those who’ve pre-ordered the game. For players who haven’t pre-ordered, the beta will be open on October 6 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The beta, which is free for all gamers, will give Star Wars fans and critics a first look of the game as to whether DICE has put together the ultimate space opera adventure game that gamers alike would enjoy. On the flipside of things, it gives Electronic Arts (EA) the opportunity to test out their servers and for DICE to readily fix any visual or technical glitches players may experience during the multiplayer beta.

EA has revealed which maps and modes players will be testing during the beta including Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault mode where players get to play on the Naboo: Theed map for the Galactic Assault while the Starfighter Assault is an epic 24-player space battle. Arcade and Strike are the other two modes players where Arcade is Battlefront II’s offline mode for one to two players while Strike mode, which is set on Takodana for the beta, is a class-based mode where players get to try out different abilities unique to various classes in order to work as a team and complete objectives.

The beta runs until October 9 as the game is set for a release on November 17, For further information on the Star Wars Battlefront II beta, visit the official EA Star Wars Battlefront site or follow EA Star Wars on Facebook and Twitter.
