Players, get your nerf ready…
12 teams from across the world have secured spots in the inaugural Overwatch League.
Three US cities recently secured the final spots as the league welcomes Philadelphia, Dallas and Houston joining the UK, China and South Korea. These US teams are owned Comcast Spectacor, Team Envy and OpTic Gaming, respectively.
According to the official Overwatch League news feed, the preseason is set to kick off December 6, 2017 at the Blizzard Arena Los Angeles where many will get to watch the favourite Overwatch players in action in a series of exhibition matches all building up to the first season of the Overwatch League starting January 10th, 2018.
Two weeks ago, we covered the Blizzard Arena Los Angeles which will host the Overwatch League and many Blizzard property tournaments as we approach the launch of Blizzard’s esports arena on October 7. This arena was built to enhance and optimise playing and watching esports and has plenty of facilities including sound stages, player lounge areas control rooms and an on-site Blizzard store.

Over the next few months, Blizzard will reveal details on the Overwatch League itself as well as the teams participating including team names and logos and the season schedule.
With the Overwatch Contenders Playoffs starting October 7, this summer will heat up as the Overwatch APEX Season 4 draws to a close on October 21.
