The long anticipated wait for Wildlands’ PvP mode will be available in beta next week
Since the announcement back in March, Ubisoft had promised fans of the tactical shooter, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, a free PvP mode and despite the launches of post-launch expansions, we still have yet to hear about this PvP mode until the studio announced in July more information into the PvP mode, named Ghost War.
Yesterday, Ubisoft released a snippet of what fans can expect from the PvP mode which is will have an open beta running from September 21-25.
According to Wildlands game design director Bogdan Bridinel, he stated that Ghost War is the closest thing to the main game’s experience as players have sought for a PvP mode with plenty of freedom.
Set to a 4v4 deathmatch, the Ghost War open beta will feature six of the 12 specialised classes across three class categories: Assault, Marksman, and Support. These six specialised classes can be further customised with specialised PvP perks based on their combat strategy and team composition which can affect their gameplay.
Five of the eight maps will be available for beta launch as more maps will be made available closer to the full launch of Ghost War. Each map has its own design elements for more intense and decisive matches. More maps will be made available after launch.
Brindinel added that by adding the Recon Tower, which will feature in the open beta, it will play a fundamental role as it allows you to use the tower to local the enemy team but it does come with its disadvantages.
Ubisoft have yet to announce the full release date of Ghost War, but you can download the Ghost War open beta for Xbox starting September 19 on the Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ official website.
