Resident Evil 7 DLC feature Chris Redfield, Gold Edition planned for December

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has scared the bejesus out of us…

Capcom has been busy ensuring that this Festive Season is filled with epic jump scares as the developer announced a Gold Edition for the latest entry in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

Capcom dropped the game’s first two DLC’s, Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 mere months after the game’s release. The next two DLCs, End of Zoe, is said to be the “shocking conclusion” of Zoe Baker where players will learn the fate of the Bakers’ daughter following events from Biohazard.

The game’s other DLC, the delayed Not A Hero will feature one the series’ long-standing characters, Chris Redfield, as he returns to the Baker mansion in this action horror expansion.

This is the official description for Not A Hero from Capcom:

“Taking place after the horrific events that befell Ethan Winters in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Not a Hero brings a brand new experience playing as Chris to face new threats not met in the main game. As a member of New Umbrella, Chris and team quickly set up a strategy to counter this latest threat. Will Chris once again solve the mystery of this latest outbreak and make it out of the plantation’s dungeons alive?”

The expansions will be available on December 12 in time to make someone’s Christmas a whole lot scarier but if you haven’t played or own Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, a Gold Edition will be available on the same day which includes:

  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard standard version
  • three DLC’s Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2 and End of Zoe
