Windows Mixed Reality headsets set for October release with Fall Update

Plenty of hardware news coming out of IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung) 2017 in Berlin which saw Microsoft revealing release dates for their Windows Mixed Reality Headsets.

Already announced that Windows Mixed Reality software will debut on October 17th as part of the Fall Creators Update, Microsoft’s hardware partners announced the headsets have been given the thumbs up for the same day release.

Headsets from HP, Lenovo and Dell will come with motion controllers, priced at $450, while the lighter headset from Acer will go for $299.

Also announced at the trade event, ASUS revealed its Windows Mixed Reality headset, spotting a unique 3D polygon design that has a balancing crown design which takes the pressure off the face including the nose area.

Mixed Reality users can run universal apps through the Microsoft Store and have access to games from the Microsoft Store as well as SteamVR games.
