Microsoft plans to dominate the realm of mixed reality
Microsoft has confirmed that popular shooter franchise, Halo, will join a list of game franchises to be supported by the Windows Mixed Reality headsets. Having been successful on the Windows and Xbox platforms, Microsoft aims for the franchise to do just that on the next hardware platform.

But there are a few questions lingering in the air. Will Microsoft team up once again with 343 Industries to develop the Halo VR experience? Or will it place augmented objects within real-world scenes? It’s anyone’s guess as to which direction Microsoft will take on.
The software giant has already added Windows Mixed Reality support for Steam as the company do see virtual reality at the forefront of gaming in the future. However, Microsoft needs to convince buyers with a VR system to steer them away from HTC’s Vive, the Oculus Rift and Sony’s PSVR if it wants to be taken seriously in the virtual reality picture.
