BioWare seems to have “washed their hands” of the Mass Effect title that caused much controversy.
On Saturday, Mass Effect: Andromeda developer, BioWare, announced via a statement on their site that they’ll no longer produce DLCs for the title’s single-player or in-game content.
“Our last update, 1.10, was the final update for Mass Effect: Andromeda. There are no planned future patches for single-player or in-game story content.”
The title has caused much controversy for the studio which most of the criticism coming from the game’s animations and technical performance to its narrative. The studio releases patches to fix the visual and technical issues post-launch and it seems the studio, now, wants to move forward.
“In the coming weeks, our multiplayer team will provide details of their ongoing support and upcoming content, including new multiplayer missions, character kits, and what’s in store for N7 Day.”
BioWare has been undergoing massive changes over the last few months which includes a merger with EA Motive and having worked on the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II.
With the launch of their next IP, Anthem, on the horizon, things might start to look up for the studio.
