Ubisoft bringing the big guns ahead of gamescom 2017

Thousands of game enthusiasts will descend to Cologne for one of the biggest video game trade fairs as developers and publishers put on their gaming faces for this year’s gamescom.

For French publisher Ubisoft, they’ll be bringing some of its biggest titles to Germany. Game enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on Assassin’s Creed Origins, Far Cry 5, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, South Park: The Fractured but Whole and The Crew 2. Also in addition to the above-mentioned titles, brand new seasons of For Honor and Rainbow Six Siege will be available for Gamescom.

Recently, Ubisoft confirmed its lineup for Gamescom in which they will set up 300 game stations with in-game rewards as they’ll be plenty of discussion panels, meet & greets and demos for the entire week.

According to Ubisoft’s International Events Director Leon Winkler, Gamescom will be a change of pace for the developer, unlike E3.

Even though E3 opened up for fans this year, the actual number of fans represents a third of the professionals who attend E3. So the main focus of E3 is still business and press. It does give to the show a different vibe to Gamescom where you have 350 000 fans experiencing the best the video game industry has to offer.

The 10th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed franchise will take place at Gamescom this year as Ubisoft has planned a cosplay event which includes eight Assassin’s Creed costumes designed by Rick Boer on display.

Gamescom will take place in Cologne, Germany from August 22 to August 26.
