This adapter can allow up to eight controllers connected to the device which means eight players can party up or team up in PvP mode against each other. Unlike the previous design, this adapter is 66% smaller, however, it’s only compatible with Windows 10 devices (laptops and tablets) and can only be supported with USB 2.0 and 3.0 as it won’t support the Xbox 360 controllers.

However, if you’re not n the mood on forking out cash for the adapter, you can still connect the controller via the micro-USB cable, which comes with the Charge and Play Kits, which supports older Windows versions.

Early this week, Xbox released three new controller designs, Green/Grey, Patrol Tech, and Volcano Shadow. These controller designs will be compatible with the upcoming Xbox One X.
