Overwatch’s Summer Games returns for a second year

First arriving on Overwatch during the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and now the Summer Games event is back and Blizzard is launching this year’s Summer Games with additional content.

Announced by Blizzard on Tuesday, this year’s event will include new skins, the return of cosmetics and an updated game mode for Lucióball.

Lucióball will return to the Summer Games for a limited period as a new stadium, Sydney Stadium map, alongside the Rio Stadium map. Blizzard also announced that there will be a competitive ranking system introduced for Lucióball for this year’s event.

However, players won’t “boop” each other with Lució’s ultimate, Soundwave attack. Blizzard stated that by using his ultimate, players will instead increase the speed of Lució and his “boop”.
