Halo director teases “good week” for Halo fans

So, looks like we could expect some “good news” from 343 Industries, the developers behind Halo as the franchise’s director, Frank O’Connor touted at the news.

Now, what we know so far that 343 Industries have been working on an IP that could be a part of the Halo spin-off series according to Halo Reddit community manager Brian Jarrard.

(W)e’ll have a little something at E3, but it’s not related to the next major entry in the franchise.

We also know that in contradiction to Jarrard’s statement, the game’s writer Jeff Easterling hinted at the possibility of a “major title” in the pipelines, but a reveal won’t be announced anytime soon.

So, what the heck is happening?

A Halo panel will be hosted at this year’s RTX hosted by Rooster Teeth Productions where O’Connor will sit on is where this “good news” will be announced. Whether it will be a part of the main Halo franchise or another spin-off title is what we don’t know for sure, but any news is still “good news” after all…

But with all the mass confusion and tomfoolery going on on social media, one thing is for sure that 343 Industries are under pressure to produce a new Halo or Halo-related title in time or after the release of the Xbox One X in November. Already Halo Wars 2 will come with 4K support for the One X while Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 were announced as part of the backward compatibility system, this could potentially lead to an IP from the developers.
