On Friday, Blizzard Entertainment announced the official release date for their military science fiction game, StarCraft: Remastered for August 14, 2017 for Windows 10 PCs.
Originally released in 1998, the game has undergone major changes which remastered version includes the real-time strategy classic and the expansion, Brood War. With a fully remastered audio and dialogue, the game also comes with 4K graphics, a newly updated leaderboard and matchmaking systems and is compatible with the existing version as players of both versions can play together in one community.
According to a press release, Blizzard has included some extra perks for players who’ve pre-ordered the game:
“All players who pre-purchase before August 14 will receive three unique building skins for use in StarCraft: Remastered—the Char Hive, the Korhal Command Center, and the Aiur Nexus. Additionally, those who purchase StarCraft: Remastered will receive digital bonuses in StarCraftII, including the Alexei Stukov co-op commander and three unique portraits that celebrate StarCraft: Remastered.”
StarCraft: Remastered is available now for pre-order as it releases August 14 for Microsoft PC.
