The esports industry is fast becoming one of the most lucrative industries in gaming to date. According to market analyst firm, NewZoo, the esports industry is set to generate over $696 million for 2017 alone and judging by its current trajectory, there’s nothing that could hamper or slow this train down.
For esports infrastructure company, ReKTGlobal, they intend to capitalise on the successes by launching three new divisions to further expand the competitive gaming market. These divisions are ReKTVenues, ReKTLive, and ReKTMedia which each division will contribute to the esports industry. ReKTVenues will assist in the construction of new venues and refurbish existing buildings to host esporting events. ReKTLive will bring those esporting events, conferences, tournaments and festivals to the audiences and RekTMedia will be a media company that will partner with other media companies to create and deliver esports content.

ReKTGlobal embodies what the company stands for: “Building the Future of Esports”. ReKTGlobal CEO, Amish Shah stated in a press release: “My vision is that every city will have an esports venue and every professional sports team will have an esports strategy.”
In the US, MLB side New York Mets, NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and wrestling promotion giant WWE are examples of sports organisations that are breaking into the sports market. And with RekTGlobal’s new divisions leading the way into the growth of infrastructure into esports, more organisations, in time, will jump on the gravy train.
