A while ago, we reported that 343 Industries announced that they won’t have a title for the E3 conference and it seems like an unveiling for Halo 6 isn’t on the cards for the developers.

According to Jeff Easterling, a writer at 343 Industries, who wrote on Halo Waypoint:
“For some folks, their despair stemmed from a lack of remastered fight-finishing. I know I know, we should have told you ahead of time to not expect anything like that. Others were hoping for a tease of things farther off to come. While there’s little to nothing that can be said on that front, it’s been made clear that we won’t be talking about Halo’s next major title for quite some time. And no, that doesn’t mean Gamescom. Or PAX. Trust us, when we’re ready to begin pulling back that proverbial curtain, you’ll know. It won’t be soon.”
Easterling has teased that a “major title” is in the pipelines over at 343 Industries but we have yet to reveal what it could be. In the past, we have seen side projects like Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike from 343 Industries so a possible Halo side title could be what Easterling teased.
However, 343 Industries revealed a new trailer last Monday for the upcoming expansion, Awakening the Nightmare. The latest expansion features Terminus Firefight, new co-op mode which players must defend their bases and Forerunner terminus nodes against hordes of attackers. Two new Banished leaders and maps will also be available with the expansion for players.
Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare will be available this fall for Xbox One.
