In the wee hours of yesterday morning, Bethesda Softworks held their E3 conference event, welcoming all to Bethesdaland.
Very different from the past two conferences thus far, Bethesda based their event on a theme park — featuring various attractions, rides and games. Focusing on celebrating the best video games whatever the platform may be, Bethesda showcased existing titles like DOOM, Dishonored 2, Prey, Fallout Shelter, Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim SE.
Hosted by Bethesda’s VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines, their conference showcased titles already part of Bethesda family like DOOM, Dishonored 2, Prey, Fallout Shelter, Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim SE. Hines also annouced that since Bethesda launched user mods for consoles last year for titles Fallout 4 and Skyrim, they have been over 300 million downloads since its launch.
First order of business for the publisher was Bethesda VR, launching two VR titles, DOOM VFR and Fallout VR, releasing later this year. Fans of the existing titles will enjoy the VR expansion of the games, further enhancing the gaming experience.
Bethesda also announced the Creation Club, featuring content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim which includes weapons, armour, outfits and accessories, crafting and housing features and gameplay enhancements.
It’s easy to access Creation Club by browsing the selection in-game and using credits, download the items which will appear immediately. Creation Club will launch Summer 2017 for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
The ESO: Morrowind also featured in this year’s event focusing on its expansive and immersive open world genres. The Elder Scrolls series further expanded when The Elder Scrolls Legends, a CCG (collectable card game) launched for PC early this year. A strategy card game to rival GWENT, Bethesda unveiled it will release the game on iOS and Android devices and a Skyrim expansion.
Bethesda also announced that Skyrim will now be released for the Nintendo Switch console this year.
A new expansion will be released fro the Dishonored franchise, Death of the Outsider, coming to all console platforms on September 15, 2017. Billie Lurk must rescue her former mentor Daud from his captors to reunite with him on the most important mission ever. Can they pull off the greatest assassination as they embark on a journey through the underworld of Karnca?
Bethesda also announced the return of the Quake World Champions at this year’s QuakeCom in Texas. Taking esports to the next level, a prize pool of $1 million for the winners where they’ll cement their legacy on the biggest esports arena.

Bethesda also revealed the trailer for two new titles releasing this year. The Evil Within 2 releasing October 13, 2017 (Friday the 13th, btw) and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus coming October 27, 2017
