Blizzard has been rather busy with Overwatch since its anniversary event last week and the birthday celebrations aren’t done yet…
On Tuesday, Overwatch’s Twitter teased new content for the game relating to the Horizon Lunar Colony. If you’re not familiar with the Colony…or any Overwatch narrative…or just Overwatch in general, then this article will be full of spoilers.
The Horizon Lunar Colony is a scientific colony on the Moon, no less, where our scientist gorilla Winston and other gorillas were genetically enhanced before present time in Overwatch. Along with the tweet, a map of the colony layout was revealed and even more interesting, a gorilla named Hammond, along with Winton, were reported: “Not Found“.
The Lucheng Interstellar, a space exploration company located in the Lijiang Tower (Overwatch here!!!) have retrieved communication among the scientists, who at the time, had an issue controlling the gorillas, as the gorilla population were getting angry and eventually led to an uprising.
This gives a glimpse into how Lucheng lost contact with the Horizon Lunar Colony and what (or rather who) caused it. Also, another teaser is the possibility of Hammond being added to the Overwatch roster.
Staying with Overwatch, Competitive Play Season 5 commences on May 31, 2017 at 8pm ET (2am South African time on June 1, 2017).
