Halo fans, be prepared and please do sit down for this…
According to a comment made by Halo community manager Brian Jarrard on Reddit, 343 Industries won’t be showcasing a Halo game at this year’s E3 in June.
“(W)e’ll have a little something at E3, but it’s not related to the next major entry in the franchise.”
Considering that there won’t be a Gears of War, Mass Effect and Halo title at Xbox’s showcase at E3, what could 343 Industries have in mind to showcase in June?
Well, bulk of Xbox’s showcase will heavily be focused on the Project Scorpio (duh!), this year’s catelogue features Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2, they’re keeping a tight lip on what will be happening for Xbox for now.
However, with the release of Halo Wars 2 back in February this year, it has been 19 months since Halo 5: Guardians which received positive reviews despite its criticism for its single-player campaign being flawed in writing and length. One thing we do know for sure is that Halo 6 will feature split-screen support in its multiplayer mode.
Hopefully, in the months to come, we can expect any and all development on Halo 6 as we anticipate the Chief’s return to command and it better be soon…
